Microwave Heating for Construction Materials

This project investigated how concrete, cement, and metal compositions respond to microwave heating, building on research from the Universitat Politècnica de València. Material tests, CAD-designed molds, and prototypes were used to evaluate a low-cost household-microwave setup for construction materials.

The study compared the heating response of different mixtures and structural forms, and reached the final eight of a local innovation competition.

Selected Contributions

• Designed the experimental molds and system prototypes in SolidWorks and AutoCAD.
• Planned and performed microwave-heating tests on concrete, cement, and metal compositions.
• Coordinated material selection, sourcing, and transport with suppliers.
