Microwave Heating for Construction Materials
Project Overview
This project investigated how concrete, cement, and metal compositions respond to microwave heating, building on research from the Universitat Politècnica de València. Material tests, CAD-designed molds, and prototypes were used to evaluate a low-cost household-microwave setup for construction materials.
The study compared the heating response of different mixtures and structural forms, and reached the final eight of a local innovation competition.
Selected Contributions
- Designed the experimental molds and system prototypes in SolidWorks and AutoCAD.
- Planned and performed microwave-heating tests on concrete, cement, and metal compositions.
- Coordinated material selection, sourcing, and transport with suppliers.
