Microwave Heating System

This project investigates the use of microwave heating on various concrete and cement compositions, drawing inspiration from research at the Universitat Politècnica de València. It examines how different mixtures and structural forms respond to microwave exposure, with the aim of exploring the feasibility of a household microwave-based heating system for construction materials.

By identifying compositions with higher microwave responsiveness, the study highlights potential pathways for more energy-efficient and sustainable building practices. The project’s innovative approach and practical significance earned it a place among the top 8 finalists in a local innovative science competition.

Responsibilities

  • Create prototype and molding of the system using SolidWorks and AutoCAD
  • Perform tests on heating various compositions of concrete, cement and metal
  • Responsible for liaising with suppliers for materials selection and transportation
